Beschrijving
voestalpine AG houdt zich bezig met de productie, verwerking en distributie van staalproducten. Het is actief via de volgende divisies: Staal, Hoogwaardige metalen, Metaaltechniek, Metaalvorming en Overige. De divisie Staal richt zich op de productie en verwerking van staalproducten voor de segmenten auto-industrie, witgoed, elektrische industrie, verwerkende industrie, energie en machinebouw. De divisie High Performance Metals produceert gereedschapsstaal, biedt warmtebehandeling en coatingdiensten, evenals opslag en voorbewerking van speciaal staal. De divisie Metaal Engineering omvat de productie van rails en wisselstukken, staaldraad, getrokken draad, naadloze buizen en lasvulmaterialen. De divisie Metaalvorming richt zich op de ontwikkeling van speciale profielen, buisproducten en bandstaal met precisiewerk evenals voorbewerkte systeemcomponenten gemaakt van geperste, gestanste en gewalste onderdelen. De divisie Overige bestaat uit de holdingmaatschappij, verschillende financieringsbedrijven van de groep, inkoopbedrijven voor grondstoffen, een bedrijf voor persoonlijke diensten en de bedrijven van de groep voor informatietechnologie. Het bedrijf werd opgericht op 13 mei 1938 en het hoofdkantoor is gevestigd in Linz, Oostenrijk.
