Het segment Voeding verwijst naar de verkoop van zelfkookproducten, dressings en theeproducten. Het segment IJs omvat voornamelijk ijsproducten. Het bedrijf werd in 1930 opgericht door Antonius Johannes Jurgens, Samuel van den Bergh en William Hulme Lever en heeft zijn hoofdkantoor in Londen, het Verenigd Koninkrijk.
