Description
Die Bitcoin Group SE bezeichnet sich als Risikokapitalgeber für Unternehmen mit innovativen Konzepten und Technologien. Die Gesellschaft ist vorrangig auf Unternehmen fokussiert, die am Markt erste Erfolge vorweisen können und kurz vor einem Börsengang stehen. Die Bitcoin Group nimmt vorwiegend deutschsprachige Länder (Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz) ins Visier. Mit der von der HV vom August 2020 beschlossenen Verschmelzung der Bitcoin Deutschland AG auf die futurum bank AG wurden Kryptotrading und -verwahrung für Retail und institutionelle Kunden aus einer Hand ermöglicht. Mitte Dezember 2022 gab das Unternehmen bekannt, mit dem Eigentümer des Bankhaus von der Heydt, Dietrich von Boetticher, eine Vereinbarung zur Übernahme von 100 Prozent der Anteile unterzeichnet zu haben. Am 09. Mai 2023 trat die Bitcoin Group vom Erwerb zurück.
