It operates through the following segments: UScellular Wireless, UScellular Towers, TDS Telecom, and Corporate, Eliminations, and Other. The UScellular Wireless segment provides wireless telecommunications services. The UScellular Towers segment leases tower space on UScellular-owned towers to other wireless carriers. The TDS Telecom segment offers communications services through fiber, coaxial, and copper networks. The Corporate, Eliminations, and Other segment operates through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Suttle-Straus, Inc. The company was founded by LeRoy T. Carlson in 1968 and is headquartered in Chicago, IL.
