The Fleet Rental segment involves the management of fleet rentals to legal entities, through the subsidiaries Localiza Fleet and Car Rental Systems. The Franchising segment includes the management and granting of franchises in geographically defined markets, including he transfer of the necessary know-how to operate the business and licensing of the right to use the Localiza brand. The company was founded by Antônio Cláudio Brandão Resende, Flávio Brandão Resende, José Salim Mattar Jr., and Eugênio Pacelli Mattar on May 17, 1973 and is headquartered in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
