El segmento de Siliconas incluye siliconas y caucho de silicona para bienes de consumo, productos químicos, aplicaciones energéticas y electrónicas y productos de construcción. El segmento de Polímeros produce dispersiones y polvos de polímeros dispersables. El segmento Biosoluciones fabrica productos químicos finos, como proteínas, ciclodextirinas, cisteína y resinas sólidas de acetato. El segmento Polisilicio consiste en polisilicio hiperpuro, clorosilanos y sílices pirogénicas para las industrias de semiconductores y electrónica. El segmento Otros comprende otras actividades. La empresa se fundó el 13 de octubre de 1914 y tiene su sede en Múnich (Alemania).
